Extremely happy with my rental. The lady at the counter greeted me warmly and with a smile. Upon returning the vehicle, the lady was very pleasant. I enjoyed the vehicle and the service with Avis and their employees.

They took a reservation for 6pm, which is when the office closes. I turned up at 6:10pm and obviously couldn’t pick up my booking as they were shut. I returned at 8am the next day and they wanted to charge me double the amount because I picked up on a different day. I was told nothing could be done about the rate in the office and I would need to call customer service, which I had done the night before, who had told me only the local office could do anything. On top of all of that, I was promised a call back from a manager to resolve the issue within 24-48 hours (which is rediculous when you only have the car for a day) and no one has contacted me. Terrible customer service and extremely frustrating. I won’t be using Avis again!

Very poor- car was clearly smoked in and had expired registration. Customer service at the counter was terrible- as there was no one at budget they deferred to Avis. I have rented with other companies many times and though my credit card is in my maiden name, and my ID is in my married name, they refused to rent me the car. I called and spoke to a customer service rep and they confirmed if I showed the counter clerk my bank statement with my maiden name to prove my identity, it would be sufficient. They wouldn’t even let my father rent the car and add me as a driver as they requiered my ID and credit card. Never going through budget again

The truck was not clean. It smelled like someone had been smoking in it. The tail gate was inoperable. A previous customer jambe it in the shut position. I did tell the attendant when I returned the vehicle. Consequently I was not able to use the truck as planed.

The process and price (up front) were great. I refilled the gas tank before dropping off car at the ATL airport (31 miles), at worst 1 gallon from full tank (although gauge showed "F"). Two weeks later, I get a bill from Thrifty, saying the car required 5 gallons to fill and added $67 to my final bill. I have rented cars before, and not only has this practice not created any additional charges, but to exaggerate the required amount to increase their profit, is unacceptable. I will continue to try KAYAK on my next trip, but I would recommend that Thrifty should no longer be part of your program, if they use gauging practices as their normal form of operation. Don't associate with thieves.

Thrifty called me this morning saying the car was not dropped off when it was dropped off on time on Sunday. They are now saying they will look into it and it will take 24-48 hours for them to figure out if the car was dropped off. Now I am having to resolve this situation in the middle of my work day which is costing me time and money.

Very upsetting experience. Between Kayak or the rental car place, they had the wrong information about my rental car drop-off. I ended up having to pay over $100 more on site because they didn't have the right information, and I obviously did not have any options since I was heading to the airport!

We waited an hour to pick up our car after arrivong a bit early and it seemed uncertain whether we would get one at all. The seemingly only person working inside did not try to organize or direct the room of 10+ people waiting at all. Then, they were snippy when questions were asked and we attempted to sign in to ensure we'd get a car in the order we arrived. Might be fine for a long trip because of the price, but don't rent if you need to be elsewhere at a certain time or just for a weekend. It's not worth the wait.

When I arrived to pick up the car I was told that there was an 1 hour wait for a car. Unless I took an EV car which they said was the kayak reservation which is an error in the kayak hertz system as I didn’t reserve an EV car.

Dollar did a very good job with paperwork before and after the rental. Vehicle was comfortable and while not spotless, pretty good. Especially liked the "unlimited tolls" option as this was a cross country (one way) rental.

Beware choosing the "managers choice"! When I arrived all they had for me was an electric vehicle. I told them I couldn't take that, because I was driving to a more remote area and wouldn't be able to charge it. They told me i had picked the "managers choice" and a gas vehicle would require a $50 (50%) upgrade. I quickly switched and went to their competitor at Avis/budget for a much better experience.

I gave them my driver's license a copy and a confirmation of the rental agreement and a my credit card. The girl kept asking me for the confirmation on my cell phone. I showed her what I had but I gave her the printout of the confirmation they would not rent me the car. I prepaid for this car and did not receive the car.
