Car was incredibly basic without even Bluetooth connectivity. However, the price I paid was very low too and the car, although basic, was of a very good standard. Helpful staff and quick service. Car spotlessly clean.

I pointed out a scratch on car and was told too small to denote on the sign out sheet and not to worry and on return Budget charged me for the scratch.

The pickup process could be easier. No indication as to where to go to find the car. Asked a lady who pointed us in the general direction. Then had to manhandle our suitcases up stairs because of no elevator or ramp. People running the rental lot were less than welcoming. Car was adequate. Ran well and it was very clean inside.

I did not like anything. Slow pick up, markup higher than announced, car not super clean, I was charged gas even though the tank was full.

Having booked the vehicle on line, the pick-up at Dunedin was fast , easy , and very smooth because Connel was very efficient and presented a very relaxed and calming vibe.

As a 1st time user with Ace left me disappointed 😞 from time of making the booking through to picking up vehicle which had the window screen replaced the day of pickup with tape on the window to be told "keep it there for an hour then you can pull it off" most disconcerting to having to drive away and lucky no rain to have to use the windscreen wipers!!! Also asked for some compensation but didn't get any

Pros:

Car was reliable and handled well.

Cons:

Luggage capacity was not as described for the class. Had to drive with rear seats folded down, making it obvious we had luggage. Meant that it wasn't possible to sight see to and from the airport.

Pros:

Trunk (boot) was too small with what we reserved. Would have been nice to know ahead of time, but it was a really easy change. Super nice employee helped us get into something bigger. Made it a very easy change.

Cons:

Car size description was off. Car is smaller than we hoped it would be. Seemed expensive, but demand was high.
