First of all, service was too slow. Had to wait around 45 mins to have someone to look into my booking. Then they have made up their own rule of not accepting digital license which wasn’t mentioned anywhere in my booking. I had to return to collect physical license card which I never had to carry in last 3 years. Then I was supposed to receive a luxury suv ( Audi Q5 or similar) but they said they do not carry any luxury car only MG or Nissan. I have paid for a luxury suv but offered a Nissan x-trail basic model which was a complete rip off. I never thought Kayak could trick a client like this to increase their booking. I am planning to lodge formal complaint about this. And at the end of all this drama- they have handed over the car but decided not clean it. I could not be bothered asking them to clean it just gave up and picked up whatever they had. I have never had such bad experience in renting car before.

Total cost for car reservation online was $157. Once I picked up the car, there was an unexpected and additional 80Euro charge if crossing a border with the vehicle. This was never mentioned beforehand. Additionally, my credit card was charged 1400Euro deposit, which was also never mentioned anywhere previously. I called Budget customer service and spoke to an agent, who was extremely rude and unhelpful. I will never use Budget again!

The car was excellent and in excellent condition, but there were a lot of hidden fees that the company kept silent about. When choosing a car, the price on the website was $68 for two days, with hidden fees they charged $412 for two days. This is not pleasant, the company must inform customers about hidden fees. I will never go to Budget again because I feel cheated.

The line for pick up had one agent working and customers were lined up out the door. It took 40 minutes to get the car. I would never use budget again at this location.

This is the most terrible rental experience for me. I suggest everyone don’t take these freaking guys’ service at all , rather go walking. I want my refund for such a bad service.

It may be wise to not allow this company to transact on kayak as their business practices are questionable at best. Issue: 1. Unexplained transportation, till you arrive in LAX, that consists of a lengthy bus ride and shuttle to arrive at the car rental location. 2. This business does not inform and does not allow its customers to use the coverage on a credit card for insurance. 3. This business does not accept the kayak insurance that is advertised as a way to save time and money, 4. Does not accept private insurance and says the deductibles are not high enough. 5. These practices leave a customer with the only option to accept and pay a higher rate than the kayak car insurance. 6. Thankfully, while attempting to understand the reasons why this information was not shared and while attempting to remedy these issues, a gentleman entered the building saying he just experienced a tire blowout, had to change the tire on his own as they would not respond to his calls and wanted another car to which they initially responded they he would have to pay for the new tire and another rental - deplorable. Please stop predatory companies such as Economy Rent a Car from operating on your website. At a minimum, I am requesting a full refund for this reservation that was not used.

I had to pay so much extra because apparently the insurance I had didn’t cover Expedia/economy car rental despite said insurance covering every other car rental agency. So either I was lied to or it’s just economy and I’m never going to rent from them/expedia again. I was also given a number to call travel guard which is not able to cover after the rental purchase was made. The car was also full of dog hair. In total this rental cost me 200$ instead of the 40 +30 I paid for the rental and insurance initially. Huge rip off. Took forever and is so inconvenient to get to without a car! Insane. Never again.

Took a long time to get the car. First of all, there shuttle only comes to remote rental car center near LAX. You need to take a bus to get there. Then you take there shuttle to get to their office. It took me almost an hour to get the get and be on my way. There were two agents working the desk and they were really helpful but, the whole process was slow. I had to wait a long time.
