Pros:Location was beautiful on a lake. This two story hotel is withing walking distance of Main St. in Cooperstown so the location is perfect in every way. There is a restaurant on the property and the breakfast was very nice. There is ample parking. The room we stayed in was very, very clean and tastefully decorated.
Cons:The room was simple and on the small side. There was no microwave and no coffee maker. The bathroom was small but adequate. The fan in the bathroom went on when you turned on the light and was very loud. I would recommend that if you stay there, you bring a night light as turning on the light( and the very noisy fan) is disruptive if you are sharing the room with anyone.

Pros:Visited this hotel in Winter and the heat was not controllable in the rooms as the regular heating system was malfunctioning requiring heat to be pumped through the central AC. The result - some very high temperatures and major discomfort in the rooms. The staff was great and very apologetic and the rooms were otherwise very clean. It would've been nice to receive a discount of some kind (not sure if it was already baked into the price online) to account for the heating issue. Overall, the location, staff, and cleanliness of the hotel balanced out the heating issue.

Pros:Beautiful lakeside, downtown location.

Pros:The location is ideal - less than two blocks from the Hall of Fame - and it is right on the edge of the lake.
Cons:It was dark, uncomfortable, the bathroom fan sounded like an air raid warning, the walls were bare, and the sofa rock hard. At $150 a night this might have been okay - at $300 pretty much unacceptable.

Pros:The location
Cons:It was way too expensive for what the hotel offered. The only rooms left were ones listed as "lake view" which means a 4'x10' concrete area facing a cove with two lawn chairs. You can hear the people who dock their boat there at night and the morning. It's a fairly decent motel room that is priced at least twice as much as you would pay anywhere else. With taxes and fees the two nights cost about $600, quite a surprise for upstate NY. Only choose here if it's one of the last places available, which we did.
