We felt fortunate to get our rental. There were only two agents working, by the time our delayed fight arrived, and the customer lines were very long. We were relieved to get a car, despite the fact that many customers did not. The customer service agent was very friendly and helpful.

I didn't like the extra fees they pushed onto me. What was a $140 2-day rental turned into a $280 bill by the end. I will stick with regular rental car companies.

The did not have our vehicle we requested (full size sedan). We were told we had to upgrade at a $100 up charge. We were not shown how to use the vehicle. We had trouble trying to put it into gear and park. We also were not told where to go to drop off. Car was beautiful though. I just wish we didn’t have to pay so much for an upgrade when other companies normally cover the cost because it’s their fault they don’t have vehicles in stock.

We noticed the car shaking badly when we would brake on the highway. We then noticed the key chain had stickers saying there was a tire leak. When we checked the tire pressure, the right side was underinflated and the left really overinflated. We got them all to 35 psi, but the car still shook when braking. The car was pretty dirty so we had to run it through a car wash. The USBs did not work so we had to handwrite directions when our phones died. Just a lot of inconvenience for having the car only a day and a half.

Waited 2 hours in line to get my car at pick-up. Didn’t have the car we reserved so they gave us an electric F-150. They gave us no instructions or info about charging stations or apps to use to find charging stations ( I don’t drive an electric car normaly). Spent 5 hours of our last day of vacation trying to find charging stations since ford trucks can’t run off of Tesla charging stations without an adapter that budget did not provide.

Online payment was not available, check in line at Hertz counter was 2 hour long. I was told suv was not available. I was told Monday is bad to rent. There was no one to assist at car pickup. Car didn’t have full tank fuel, but recorded as with full tank. Hertz cancelled My reservation through Kayak and made another booking at $20 more and advised to accept Hertz recommended reservation.

Our car was supposed to be waiting for us at 12pm. It wasn’t ready until 4pm. We were not offered the toll pass and when we returned the car they said they couldn’t help us with it.

The whole process was quick and smooth. Staff was nice and friendly. Only didn’t like that we had to wait as there were no cars in the parking lot available for us. But it all worked out because of the staff.

Compact SUV

I reserved a mid-sized SUV. At pickup the rep tried to give me a corolla. Luckily, I know that is not even close to a mid-sized SUV and pushed back, so he offered a KIA Soul which is also not close to a mid-sized SUV, but he said it was the largest they had. I drove 12 hours in the car that was smaller than what I had originally booked.

check in took 2 hours... email check in would not work... then the car was not ready... then the car i got was sent back from the gate so had to get another one.... the return also was not smooth and required me to go back to the counter and wait another 30 min for someone to tend to my issue

Moved us from Thrifty to Alamo. After waiting line for 30 minutes someone tells us if we made a reservation that day or the day before they are booked and we have no reservations. Continued to say for those of you who booked two days ago or prior, you have a 2 hour wait.

The vehicle itself was nice and clean. However, once I received my e-receipt I saw I was charged for the extra daily coverage that I was not asked about nor did I authorize, raiding my bill and extra $250+. And equally annoying, there is no customer service number to call and get a real person to help. Would love my money back!

I tried to get a refund from dollar because our flight was cancelled and never made it to our destination to use rental so I cannot say it was good or bad. Trying to get ahold of the company through email and no reply.
