Never got the car, Kayaks terms and conditions stated I’d be charged extra if under the age of 25, Europcar policy is you are charged extra if under the age of 26. I ended up cancelling the rental order as Europcar were wanting to charge me double what I was quoted on kayak. Both should do a better job at ensuring their policies are aligned.

they said the car insurance i purchased when i rented the car didn’t cover the rental. they said there was a mandatory additional insurance that i needed that i do not think i needed.

Customer service was awful, rude, aggressive, arrogant and unhelpful. The car I received was 4 years old and I took 61 photos of dents and scratches that were on the car prior to me driving it. No handover, just thrown the keys. Tyres were under-inflated, brakes were grinding and interior had been cleaned, but drivers seat was dirty. Drop off was a better experience, that particular person was not there. First time using Europcar, and last. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the customer service experience and their vehicles. Would definitely not recommend.
