Initial impression was not good. Signage posted on rental counter that stated a $450 cleaning charge for many normal situations. Signs said, NO SAND, NO PETS, etc… I get the no smoking, but it’s Florida. There’s sand. Then when we went to the assigned vehicle (luxury car) it was super dirty with hair and gunk all over the inside as well as a broken windshield. Of course no damage was noted on the paperwork. Super friendly and helpful employees. Zero complaints there, just a failure on the cleanliness and condition. Not terrible. They got us a different car quickly.

I made a reservation for one full day and they charged me for two days instead, and late fees. I returned the vehicle within the 24h period and they refuse to give me my money back. They also double charged by processing the payment into two different credit cards.

This is the worst service ever. No legit information was provided by both parties. The customer service was poor & hidden fees were not provided or discuss on the website in the full total cost what was expected to be paid upon a picking up the vehicle.

It was not good experience with budget. Fist they gave a which not I was booked. I received a car KIA picanto, I am 6 feet tall and it was very difficult for me to adjust. I found car wheel alignment was not correct and was risky to drive because when I tried to make steering straight it’s go left. I called their customer service but they refused to change the car. Rather the the customer service told me a magic information, “KIA manufactures this type of car that all car’s steering are moved in left, they are not straight” I had nothing to say, I stopped using the car.

Eventually I ended up not getting the car because they were trying to get additional money for the insurance with some crazy amounts of deposit. They were asking to pay $24,000 deposit for the car or another option to pay additional $1,000 insurance.. it was to much and they saw we don’t buy it and started to negotiate and eventually we went to another car rental company. Is just ashamed that we pre booked everything and then to see how they are trying to rip you off, left a bitter taste but that is Mexic!

Pick up process was long and painful. Agent kept trying to upsell (vehicle type, insurance options, refueling options, etc) and was visibly annoyed when I refused to accept any of the options. I just wanted to get the vehicle and get on with my trip.

The Camry which I hired did not appear to have Apple Car Play. The staff could not load it either. I hire cars a lot in the UK and even a small hire car has CarPlay available. Not good for me as I was driving to Denmark with my wife holding my IPhone!!

Car itself was great. Understaffed pick up desk. Waited 45 minutes to get the car once at the car park. When returning, there was no staff and no signage/directions for how to return (at 8:30 am) and had to walk to the arrivals area of the airport to inform staff there of the returned car.

Uncoordinated efforts between hertz and Kayak- lead me to not get the vehicle as advertised and promised and therefore had to overpay hugely to get the real value from my Nice trip. Doubt I will use a third party brokerage in the future and rent directly from Rental company as save myself hassle and money.

Received a car with no working AC in the middle of the summer in France. It was awful. I did bring it to their attention upon pulling out of the rental parking garage and I was told to just give it time to kick in. Will 2 hours away and still no AC. Worst experience

Price was good for the 12-day rental. It was exhausting at the time of car pickup, the lady kept trying to upsell me on a bigger car, more insurance coverage. What could take 10 minutes for signing the rental agreement, took over 30 minutes. Everything else was amazing.

My experience was perfect. Picked up the car at Europcar. Was helped by a worker called Hugo. He was very helpful and friendly and would highly recommend dealing with him when picking up your vehicle.

I arrived to collect vehicle which was not available at the location. I then had to go into ayr that location was closed. Resulting in looking for my payment of £93.40 from keddy. This is on going very poor 😢

Hi, I’m somewhat fed up with searching prices via the website and realising time and time again that the headline price has no relevance to the final price charged. Extra charges such as additional drivers, airport pick up surcharges were never mentioned either on the website or at the europcar desk . Additional charges appeared on my credit card several days after dropping the car that were not verbalised or highlighted prior to rental - seems somewhat unfair! Surely this should be more regulated!? The car itself was fine , although didn’t appreciate multiple attempts by the desk sales to upgrade the vehicle at the pick up point , feels like a lot of effort goes into up selling.
